IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY: This EazyPaper Inc. End User License Agreement (''EULA'') is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and EazyPaper Inc. for the EazyPaper product(s) accompanying this EULA, which include(s) computer software and may include "online" or electronic documentation, associated media, and printed materials (''SOFTWARE PRODUCT''). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or any UPDATES (as defined below), you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install, copy, or otherwise use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. In addition, by installing, copying, or otherwise using any updates or other components of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT that you receive separately as part of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (''UPDATES''), you agree to be bound by any additional license terms that accompany such UPDATES. If you do not agree to the additional license terms that accompany such UPDATES, you may not install, copy, or otherwise use such UPDATES.
The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by Canadian and United States of America copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties and the terms of this EULA. Unless prohibited by law, those contractual terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta in Canada, because that is where you are hereby deemed to have acquired your interest in the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, regardless of where you yourself may have been at the time of acquisition. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, not sold. Copyright laws and international treaties protect it. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of it, or any portion of it, may result in severe civil and criminal penalties, and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.
Distribution: The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is freely distributable; however, you are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any such copies, however made; and from the authorized distribution of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. In addition, you are specifically prohibited from adding, removing, or otherwise modifying any part of this SOFTWARE PRODUCT in your distribution.
This is not free software!
Under the terms of this Shareware License Agreement you are hereby granted a non-exclusive license to use this SOFTWARE PRODUCT up to a maximum of two days for evaluation purposes without charge after installation. After the two-day evaluation period, the license will expire. If you use this SOFTWARE PRODUCT after the two-day evaluation period a license fee is required. Payments must be made to EazyPaper Inc. in accordance with the instructions included in the Buy Page - When payment is received you will receive an email and password. Logging into SOFTWARE PRODUCT using this email and password will license the software for use under the terms of this EULA.
Unlicensed use of Shareware after the evaluation period is in violation of Canadian, U.S. and International copyright laws, and of the terms of this EULA.
You are prohibited from sharing, selling, lending, leasing, or otherwise distributing your email and password to SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
You are prohibited from circumventing, or attempting to circumvent the registration process in any way that allows this product to be used for more than the two-day evaluation period without purchasing a license.
You are prohibited from activating the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on any machine for which you do not have a license. This prohibition may be enforced by Digital Rights Management as described as set out below under COPYRIGHT.
Please note that the SOFTWARE PRODUCT creates a personal reference database, stores it in an encrypted file on your computer's hard-drive, and uploads it to an EazyPaper Inc.-controlled server across the Internet with standard HTTPS encryption to provide an aggregate, publicly searchable database of references. You agree to this use of your reference database, even when created as a free trial user, and you hereby grant EazyPaper Inc. an unlimited perpetual license to use your reference database as set out herein.
You also agree to avoid entering meaningless, offensive, and to your knowledge, inaccurate data in your references, or to abuse this feature in any way that harms the usefulness of providing an aggregate, searchable database of references to the wider community. You also agree to indemnify and hold EazyPaper Inc. and its employees harmless if the search results are meaningless, offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise harmful since EazyPaper Inc. does not police the contents of users' personal reference databases.
Not For Resale Software: You may not resell, or otherwise transfer for value, the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, link, or disassemble the SOFTWARE PRODUCT without the prior written consent of EazyPaper Inc.
Rental: You may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
Trademarks. This EULA does not grant you any rights in connection with any trademarks or service marks of EazyPaper Inc.
Separation of Components: The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use by more than one user.
Termination: Without prejudice to any other rights, EazyPaper Inc. may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all of its component parts and license codes.
If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is labeled as an upgrade or add-on, you must be properly licensed to use a product identified by EazyPaper Inc. as being eligible for the upgrade in order to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. A SOFTWARE PRODUCT labeled as an upgrade replaces and/or supplements the product that formed the basis for your eligibility for the upgrade. You may use the resulting upgraded product only in accordance with the terms of this EULA or any revised EULA provided with the upgraded product. If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is an upgrade of a component of a package of software programs that you licensed as a single product, the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be used and transferred only as part of that single product package and may not be separated for use on more than one computer.
All title and intellectual property rights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text, and "applets" incorporated into the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT are owned by EazyPaper Inc. or its suppliers. All title and intellectual property rights in and to the content which may be accessed through use of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is the property of the respective content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties. This EULA grants you no rights to use such content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by EazyPaper Inc.
Please note that our Digital Rights Management system may occasionally require your unique, machine-identifying information to be transmitted to EazyPaper Inc. across the Internet. Should such a transmission reveal to EazyPaper Inc. that the machine on which the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is running is not the same machine as the one on which the SOFTWARE PRODUCT was last launched, this Digital Rights Management system will automatically transfer this EULA to the new machine, thus revoking your right to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on the prior machine permanently. You agree that EazyPaper Inc. is entitled to rely on your email and password to achieve this transfer as conclusive proof that the transfer was performed or duly authorized by you, regardless of whether you actually made the transfer.
This SOFTWARE PRODUCT is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. However, you may contact us through www.eazypaper.com/support, and at EazyPaper Inc.'s discretion, EazyPaper Inc. support engineers will make commercially reasonable efforts to solve any problem. To the extent allowed by applicable law, implied warranties on the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, if any, are limited to thirty (30) days after you purchase the license code. Some provinces/jurisdictions do not allow limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
CUSTOMER REMEDIES: EazyPaper Inc.'s and its suppliers' entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at EazyPaper Inc.'s option, either (a) return of the price paid, if any, or (b) repair or replacement of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EAZY PAPER INC. AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, WITH REGARD TO THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT, AND THE PROVISION OF OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EAZY PAPER OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT OR THE FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES, EVEN IF EAZY PAPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY CASE, EAZY PAPER'S ENTIRE LIABILITY UNDER ANY PROVISION OF THIS EULA SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT OR U.S. $5.00.
Shareware is a marketing method, not a type of software or even strictly just a distribution method. When software is marketed through normal retail channels, you are forced to pay for the product before you've even seen it. The Shareware marketing method lets you try a program before you buy it. Since you've tried the program, you know whether it will meet your needs before you pay for it. A Shareware program is just like a program you find in major stores, catalogs, and other places where software is purchased; except you get to use it, on your own computer, before paying for it.
Shareware is commercial software, fully protected by copyright laws. Like other business owners, shareware authors expect to earn money for making their software available. In addition, by paying you may then be entitled to additional functions, removal of time limiting or limits on use, removal of so-called "nag" screens, and other things as defined in the documentation provided by the program's author.
That's simple: just stop using it and remove it from your computer system. Many shareware authors even provide a simple "uninstall" feature that makes this easy.
